Cardio Club
Cardio Club is an after school program for students in 3rd-5th grade who would like to walk, run, jog, or jump rope to improve or maintain their fitness level. We consider it a privilege to be a member of Cardio Club. The rules and expectations are for each student to set individual goals, have a positive attitude, and encourage others. Negative comments and negative behavior will not be accepted. Younger siblings are not allowed to come unless a parent is present. Students are not penalized for not attending. Students walk, jog, or run laps to accumulate their mileage. At the end of Cardio Club students will log their mileage and it will be cumulative. At the end of the year we will give awards to overall students who log the most mileage for each grade level at our Spring Party.
Cardio Club members need to wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Please stop by the restrooms and fill up your water bottle before you come to Cardio Club. Music will be provided. All electronics should be kept in their backpack.
Cardio Club will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:55- 3:45 on the soccer field. If the weather is bad or the field is muddy, we will be jumping rope in the gym. If we have to cancel Cardio Club we will try to notify you by phone call, email, or text by 2:00 that day. We will begin our Fall semester, Wednesday, Sept. 25 ending on Wednesday, November 20.
