🌳 A Legacy Taking Root: Our Earth Day Dedication
What better way to celebrate Earth Day than by ensuring the spirit of Dove Elementary lives on for generations to come? 🌎✨

Today, the Dove Garden Club held a very special ceremony at Dove Park to dedicate a newly planted Burr Oak tree in honor of our school. We chose the Burr Oak for its incredible symbolism; it is known for its massive strength, deep-reaching roots, and legendary endurance. Much like our Dove community, these trees are built to weather any storm and can live for over 300 years.

As this oak grows, it will serve as a living tribute to the strength and history we have built together.

A huge thank you to Keep Grapevine Beautiful (@KeepGrapevineBeautiful) for their partnership! Because of their support and grant funding, our students were able to give this lasting gift back to our community.

We also want to share a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Dingemanse. Your passion for gardening and your dedication to our Dolphins has been truly inspiring. You’ve helped our students plant more than just seeds; you’ve helped them plant a legacy.

Once a Dolphin, Always a Dolphin. 🐬💚

A lemonade stand and ice cream sundaes made learning extra fun at Dove Elementary last week. As a culmination to their economics unit where they learned about earning, saving and spending money, the RISE class hosted a lemonade stand during recess, greeting customers and preparing each cup. Meanwhile, mastering multiplication facts was extra sweet for third graders who were treated to an ice cream sundae party, with the number of topping selections based on the number of facts they mastered. Way to make learning a treat!
