I have lived in Grapevine, Texas since 1985 and am a product of the
Grapevine-Colleyville school district. I graduated from Colleyville
Heritage High School in 1998. I attended the University of Texas at
Austin, graduating with a degree in Applied Learning and Development and
minors in Math and Reading in 2002. I began teaching at Heritage
Elementary in fourth grade. After three years, I moved into the
Instructional Technologist position and served both Heritage Elementary
and Silver Lake Elementary. After seven years in that position, I
transitioned back to the classroom and taught first grade for four
years.
I am proud to be the Dove librarian! I finished my master's degree in Library Science in May of
2017. It is such a joy to be a part of the library team here in GCISD, and especially a part of the Dove family. I share my expertise in books and technology with the students and teachers on a daily basis. Since starting here in 2016, I have learned a lot about IB and enjoy working with the teachers to plan meaningful learning experiences by providing books and digital resources to enhance instruction.
In my limited free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, watching Texas Longhorn football, and
spending time with my friends and family.
